Your Impact
In this role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in enterprise data governance, translating strategy into actionable, scalable solutions. You’ll help build and embed governance frameworks, empower data stewards, and ensure high-quality, compliant data that fuels analytics and AI initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the execution of enterprise data governance and stewardship in a federated model
Drive domain onboarding, training, and adoption of governance frameworks
Oversee key initiatives such as enterprise data classification aligned to regulatory standards
Implement and optimize data catalog & marketplace solutions for better data discovery
Design workflows for metadata management, glossary curation, and stewardship processes
Partner cross-functionally (Business, IT, Security, Legal, Compliance) to embed governance into daily operations
Influence stakeholders and drive adoption without direct authority
Monitor and report on KPIs, risks, and governance performance
Mentor team members and guide managed service providers
Explore AI-driven innovations to enhance governance processes
What We’re Looking For
Required:
8+ years’ experience in data governance, stewardship, or enterprise data management
Proven track record as a data governance SME in complex, matrixed environments
Strong experience driving adoption of governance frameworks and tools
Hands-on experience with tools like Informatica, Atlan, Alation, or similar
Expertise in data classification, metadata management, and regulatory compliance
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience mentoring teams and managing governance initiatives
Nice to Have:
Experience with Informatica platforms (IDMC, CDGC, AXON, etc.)
Exposure to modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
Background in regulated industries (life sciences, biotech, etc.)
Knowledge of DOJ data security regulations
Certifications such as CDMP, DCAM, DGSP
