Senior Software Development Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Demo Platform team. This team builds and operates the global services and UIs powering presales demos, enabling solution consultants to easily scale customer experiences.

Operating like a fast-paced product team, they collaborate across EMEA and North America. They focus on rapid iterations driven by direct internal feedback, strong engineering ownership, and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable backend services (Kotlin/JVM), REST APIs, and modern front-ends (React/TypeScript).

• Contribute to architectural decisions and evolve the cloud-based CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) stack.

• Own features end-to-end—from initial scoping and design through to delivery and support.

• Partner with globally distributed teams and internal presales users to translate requirements into platform improvements.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor other engineers, and elevate team engineering standards.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong skills in a statically typed language (ideally Kotlin or Java).

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (preferably React).

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and SQL relational databases.

• Proven ability to work in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Deep knowledge of the JVM ecosystem and software design (SOLID, DI).

• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).

• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress).

• Strong problem-solving, CLI/Linux skills, and clear technical communication.
