Job DetailsJob Location: Hendrick Manufacturing - Carbondale, PA 18407Job Category: SalesPosition Summary The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales, business development, and marketing objectives for Hendrick Architectural Products within an assigned territory covering Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. This position develops and maintains strong relationships with architects, specifiers, engineers, general contractors, installers, and other key industry partners to generate new business, secure product specifications, and drive profitable sales growth. The Architectural Sales Representative works closely with customers, the field sales team, and internal departments to identify opportunities, develop project pipelines, support quoting and project execution, and ensure exceptional customer service. This position requires extensive travel throughout the assigned territory, strong knowledge of the architectural and construction industry, and the ability to effectively communicate Hendrick's products and solutions to the design and construction community.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve assigned sales, growth, and profitability objectives. Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Identify, prospect, qualify, and convert new leads and project opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, architectural firms, specifiers, engineers, general contractors, installers, distributors, and other key industry partners. Promote Hendrick Architectural Products and develop product awareness within the architectural and design community. Conduct AIA and ASLA accredited presentations and other educational programs for architects, designers, and industry professionals. Secure product specifications and inclusion of Hendrick products in architectural plans, specifications, and new construction projects. Interpret architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to identify opportunities and determine appropriate product applications. Follow up on quotes, projects, and opportunities to support successful conversion and project completion. Provide customers with timely updates regarding project status, pricing, availability, lead times, and supply requirements. Collaborate with designers, engineering, production, estimating, customer service, and other internal teams to develop solutions for customer and project requirements. Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity, forecasting, and territory information within the company's CRM and ERP systems. Analyze market conditions, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and develop appropriate sales strategies. Monitor and maintain competitive intelligence regarding direct competitors, products, pricing, and market activity. Set up, attend, and actively participate in industry trade shows, conferences, association meetings, and other market-specific events. Develop strategies to expand market penetration and grow existing customer relationships and accounts. Provide monthly, quarterly, and other sales reports and forecasts as required. Maintain current knowledge of Hendrick Architectural Products, systems, applications, and industry developments. Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including regular customer and prospect visits and overnight travel as required. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably within the architectural, construction, building products, or related industry. Demonstrated field sales experience working with architects, designers, contractors, specifiers, or other construction industry professionals. Working knowledge of construction practices, architectural products, and the design and construction process. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and project documents. Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and developing new business opportunities. Experience managing a geographic territory, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, activity reporting, and strategic account planning. Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze market conditions, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive activity and develop effective sales strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as CRM and ERP systems. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and effectively organize a large geographic territory. Willingness and ability to travel 3–4 days per week throughout the assigned territory, with overnight travel as required. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company requirements for business travel.
