Job DetailsJob Location: Hendrick Manufacturing - Carbondale, PA 18407Position Type: Full TimeThe individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated with being a Quality Specialist.  The primary responsibility of the individual in this position is to ensure that proper procedures are followed consistently and effectively adhere to strict quality standards relative to both the company and the customer.  The individual will have responsibility in receiving, first article inspections, in process inspections, final inspections, assisting in maintaining the calibration system, and performing the initial process steps for non-conforming material. Supports internal audit activities. To qualify as a Quality Specialist, an individual must be able to perform all of the following: Minimum high school diploma with post secondary education in relevant field or equivalent work experience. Associate degree is a plus Requires the ability to use personal computer, various measuring devices, and the ability to read, understand, and interpret blue prints.  Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past situations. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.  Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of various quality control procedures and practices including statistical process control.  Experience working in an industrial work environment.  Minimum of one year experience in related quality control position or shop floor experience. Metals industry a plus. Requires a high attention to detail.  QualificationsEssential functions & responsibilities Perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts and assemblies Complete inspection and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner  Conduct basic tool calibrations, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Perform shop floor audits to verify compliance with procedures, shop orders, and drawing requirements Assist with internal audits and ISO-related activities Support receiving, in-process, and final inspections as required Identify, document, and communicate quality issues and nonconformances Assist in maintaining calibration records and quality documentation Perform other duties as assigned to support Quality Department objectives
