HVAC Specialist

Work Schedule: Thursday – Monday; Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and after-hours in the event of emergencies and critical equipment failures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new heating, ventilation, AC, and refrigerant systems
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC & refrigeration systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Track materials used per project
• Complete service reports and warranty paperwork
• Support other Facilities teams as needed 

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience required
• Resort, hotel, healthcare, or large commercial facility experience preferred
• EPA Universal Certification required
• HVAC/R certification required
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting chillers, cooling towers, and pumps
• Experience servicing AAON units strongly preferred
• Experience troubleshooting VRF systems (Toshiba, LG) strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and controls/BAS a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand, walk, and be on feet for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours)
• Ability to work outdoors and in mechanical/rooftop spaces in extreme heat (Arizona climate, seasonal temperatures well above 100°F)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and at heights
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to work with hand and power tools safely
• Flexibility to respond to on-call/emergency maintenance needs as required
