Fill-In Cook/Dining Services Assistant Day Shift (Thornwald Home)

The Cook/Dining Services Assistant provides assistance in cooking and all dining services functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established dining services policies and procedures, including:

• Preparing and serving meals and delivering trays, as instructed and in accordance with established portions and dietary restrictions and guidelines;
• Checking trays for appropriateness prior to distribution;
• Assisting with daily scheduled cleaning duties including surfaces, refrigerators, freezers, and floors;
• Preparing meal trays, food carts, dining rooms, etc. for meal service;
• Distributing and collecting resident menus;
• Delivering food service carts and trays to designated areas;
• Performing dishwashing and cleaning procedures;
• Preparing and delivering snacks;
• Assisting in preparation, set-up, service, and clean-up for special events and parties;
• Following established safety guidelines and providing a safety environment for residents and coworkers;
• Ensuring residents' right are protected; and,
• On weekends earn an extra $2/hour and on holidays earn Double-Time!

Cook pay rate is $21.97 ($23.97 on weekends)

Dining Services Assistant pay rate is $18.32 ($20.32 on weekends)
