We’re hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Central Engineering team in Carlisle, PA, an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers looking to build real-world experience and grow into project leadership.

 

In this role, you’ll support the full lifecycle of capital projects from concept and planning through installation, commissioning, and closeout. You’ll work closely with Maintenance, Operations, and EH&S teams to bring new equipment online, improve existing systems, and solve day-to-day manufacturing challenges. If you enjoy hands-on engineering and seeing your work directly impact production, this role is built for you.

 

What you’ll do:
• Support and manage capital projects including scope, budget, schedule, and execution
• Recommend and help procure manufacturing equipment and facility systems
• Coordinate contractors and maintenance teams during installations and startups
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility systems
• Assist in optimizing process performance and equipment reliability
• Provide technical support and training to plant personnel

 

What you bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing or project engineering
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems with exposure to electrical controls
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment specifications
• Familiarity with CAD tools (Autodesk preferred) and basic controls concepts (VFDs, PIDs)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
