Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies at Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish position. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will teach five courses per academic year, which may include Spanish language, composition, literature survey, and topics courses. 
A Ph.D. in Spanish or a closely related field by the time of appointment is preferred (ABD considered). The Department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional teaching and research. Candidates must have the ability to create learning environments that are inclusive and welcoming to all students.
