We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic - 1st shift who takes pride in quality work and problem-solving. This role is essential in keeping our campus running efficiently and safely through skilled maintenance and repair work across a wide variety of systems and equipment.

 

Hourly Rate: $38.20

What You’ll Do

You’ll use your hands-on skills to plan, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems across our Carlisle Campus. Tasks include:

  • Performing work in machining, welding, carpentry, electrical, pipefitting, and plumbing

  • Installing and aligning machinery and equipment

  • Operating shop tools and heavy equipment such as lathes, mills, forklifts, and tractors

  • Maintaining boilers, HVAC systems, and other essential infrastructure

  • Troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems

  • Completing preventative maintenance and repair tasks in a safe and timely manner

  • Collaborating with a diverse team across departments

What You Bring

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic understanding of industrial maintenance practices

  • Comfortable reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Skilled in operating a variety of hand and power tools

  • Knowledge of shop equipment like mills, lathes, and grinders

  • Basic math and measurement skills

  • Clear communication skills — written and verbal

  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

  • Experience with machine troubleshooting and working in high or confined spaces

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Completed apprenticeship, technical program, or equivalent mechanical experience preferred

  • 0–4 years of experience for entry-level roles | 4+ years for senior roles

  • Industrial/manufacturing experience is a plus
