Job Description 

Select's EHS Coordinator provides safety support to operational service lines by promoting a strong safety culture, delivering new hire safety training, monitoring pipeline construction activities to identify and eliminate hazards, and reinforcing company safety policies and regulatory compliance. This position partners with project management, field supervision, and employees to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable federal, state, local, and client safety requirements while supporting incident prevention, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

 

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

  • Develops and delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
  • Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
  • Purchases and distributes personal protection equipment or other related supplies.
  • Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
  • Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment.
  • Assists in developing and communicating facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bilingual strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Construction strongly preferred
  • OSHA 510 Construction strongly preferred
  • 0 to 2 years related working experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently establish priorities and complete competing assignments within required timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle in accordance to Select’s insurance guidelines.

Physical Demands and Exposures

The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
