Job Title: Field Service Technician - Water Services

Operational Area: General Permian Basin, Travel Required

Reports To: Lead Field Service Specialists

General Responsibility and Function:

The Water Transfer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of water transfer systems, including poly pipe, lay flat hose, and underground pipelines, to move water from source locations to frac sites. This role involves physically demanding work performed outdoors in various weather conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols.

Duties:

  • Lay out and retrieve poly line and lay flat hose
  • Operate transfer pumps and essential water transfer equipment
  • Operate skid steers and assist with hose deployment
  • Load and unload pipe, equipment, and materials safely
  • Monitor equipment operations and make necessary adjustments
  • Set and service pumps and generators on-site
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist in containment efforts and spill cleanup
  • Communicate effectively with team members via signals, radios, or phones
  • Use standard hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, hoists)
  • Drive trucks and vehicles for equipment and personnel transport
  • Attend and complete safety, DOT, and OSHA-related training
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to wear and properly use PPE throughout the shift.
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Team-oriented and dependable
  • Energy industry experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with machinery and tools, including operation and maintenance
  • Basic understanding of hazardous material handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs. individually as needed.
  • Previous experience in a safety-sensitive role is a plus but not required.
  • Safety Focus: Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.

Education & Experience:

  • Energy industry experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with machinery and tools, including operation and maintenance

Work Environment:

This position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments and involves exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Work is physically demanding and may include tasks such as loading and unloading equipment, handling hoses and machinery, and transporting materials or water samples. The role may also involve exposure to hazardous materials, requiring the proper use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.
