OVERVIEW
The Process Control Specialist is the onsite subject-matter-expert for PLC and Delta V. This role is responsible for coordination of PLC/HMI programming, DCS (design, programming and troubleshooting) on Delta V systems. 


JOB DUTIES

  • Troubleshoot plant issues pertaining to PLC and controls logics
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus and replace damaged wires and cables
  • Integrate and simulate equipment including, but not limited to: solenoid valves, servo valves, electromechanical actuators, pressure transducers, RTDs, thermocouples, scale integrators, etc.
  • Design electrical controls and electrical power systems
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure the operations (plant and pumping stations) run efficiently
  • Implement working knowledge of: plant automations, and electrical systems such as: Allen Bradley ControlLogix Processors, Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Wonderware HMI programming, VFD, PID controllers and power distribution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in: industrial maintenance (electrical troubleshooting and repair) and PLC and instrumentation experience
  • Fluent understanding of 3-phase power supply, feeders and current limiting devices
  • Valid Driver’s License

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
9/80 schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9-hour workdays, Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. Schedule subject to change.

  • Work conducted in both an outdoor, in a non-temperature-controlled environment subject to weather conditions, and indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • At times, exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit over 2/3 talk and hear over 2/3 of the time. Will be standing, walking, using hands, reaching with hands, climbing and stooping 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. less than 1/3 of the time
  • Under 1/3 of the work time, the environment may consist of moving mechanical parts and high/precarious places. Typical noise levels include moderate noises (ex: business office with computers, printers, etc.)
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed 

A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
