Senior Accountant
Private Aviation | Financial Reporting | Process Improvement
Looking for an opportunity that's anything but a traditional accounting role? We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing aviation organization where you'll play a key role in financial reporting, operational accounting, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers significant visibility across the business and the chance to collaborate with teams outside of accounting while helping drive accuracy, efficiency, and informed decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare financial reports, account analyses, and reporting packages for business stakeholders
- Review expenses and invoices to ensure proper coding, accuracy, and compliance with company policies
- Partner with operational teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy
- Assist with profitability analysis and business reporting initiatives
- Support tax filings, audit requests, and internal control processes
- Help streamline accounting workflows through process improvements and automation efforts
- Contribute to system enhancements and reporting optimization projects
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to ownership and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within aviation, aerospace, transportation, or other regulated industries
- QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, or similar accounting software experience
- Exposure to audit support and internal controls
- Experience supporting operationally driven accounting environments
- Background in process improvement, automation, or reporting enhancements

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
