Pay Range $25.00 to $27.00
Friday to Sunday 4pm to 430am
Manages employees and directs the workflow through the MJF department. Works with department leads and program managers regarding scheduling, root cause/corrective actions, and RMAs. The MJF Shift Supervisor will be responsible for all employees across their shift within their respective shift.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manages KPI’s.
- Manages the daily\weekly shipping list to ensure projects make it out in time.
- Works closely with the Project Technicians, QC Department and the Shipping Department to ensure jobs are staying on track.
- Updates the Project Technicians when jobs are delayed.
- Supports the Project Management team.
- Coaches and manages post-processing employees to help them develop the skills needed to be successful.
- Ability to communicate QMS employee training, as well as annually evaluating competency and recommending additional training as needed.
- Evaluates processes and suggests improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, scrap reduction, and improving on-time delivery.
- Manages employee time, overtime, and vacation time, and ensures accurate information is captured for labor hours.
- Acts as a contributing member to the QMS by managing the processes and procedures and updating them as needed.Â
- Ensures all employees are aware of their contribution to the quality policy and adhering to safety requirements and procedures.
- Maintains the QMS required contributions to product or service conformity, product safety, and ethical behavior.
- Ensure that lean initiatives are implemented and maintained.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Promotes a positive work environment.
- Assists in various stages of production as needed.
- Other Duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time.
SKILL REQUIREMENT/Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Production experience.
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Multitasking ability.
- Able to accomplish tasks without constant supervision.
- Must have superb organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with and lead a team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures are controlled by climate due to production requirements
- This role regularly operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to airborne powders and particulates. The ability to work in such conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation, is an essential function of the position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift) on a manufacturing floorÂ
- Frequent use of hands for handling, sanding, polishing, grinding, and finishing partsÂ
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with or without assistanceÂ
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouchingÂ
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to operate finishing tools and equipmentÂ
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothingÂ
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, and varying temperaturesÂ
- Ability to distinguish colors, finishes, and surface defects as needed for quality inspectionÂ
- Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to inspect detailed parts and surfacesÂ
- Ability to safely operate finishing equipment such as grinders, sanders, bead blasters, or similar tools
