Job DetailsJob Location: Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe - Sequim, WA 98382Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.89 - $25.86 HourlyJamestown S’Klallam Tribe is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial Maintenance professional to support daily operations across the Blyn Campus. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities and grounds while supporting events and general upkeep needs. Essential Functions • Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and waxing floors, walls, and woodwork • Dust furniture and equipment; empty and clean ashtrays and wastebaskets; polish furniture and metal fixtures • Vacuum rugs, curtains, and furniture; wash windows; clean restrooms; restock paper and soap supplies • Perform minor maintenance and repair work such as replacing lights and ballasts, and light repair of faucet washers or toilet tank floats • Conduct groundskeeping and light maintenance including pressure washing, debris removal, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting furniture • Report needs and concerns to appropriate staff, including recommending or submitting work orders and monitoring supply levels • Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal • Assist with inventory of equipment and cleaning products • Provide custodial support during Tribal and local events, including setup and breakdown • Ensure Blyn Campus grounds, landscaping, and parking areas remain clean and orderly by removing trash and debris • Maintain and clean Kiosk areas, including removal of birds’ nests, cobwebs, and droppings • Clean windows and doors on a regular basis • Secure and lock campus buildings daily and after evening events • Assist with snow removal and deicing as needed • Adhere to all JST policies and procedures, including safety standards and the Occupational Exposure Control Plan • Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to adapt to change in a positive and flexible manner • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative • Ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned • Valid Driver’s License • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background investigation Preferred Qualifications • Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills • Two (2) years of custodial, maintenance, or related experience • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, route oversight, and proper use of protective equipment • American Indian/Alaska Native preference applies Join a team committed to maintaining a clean, welcoming environment that supports the Tribe’s community, culture, and daily operations.
