If you’re organized, dependable, and have payroll experience, we’d love to hear from you. This full-time day shift position plays an important role in keeping our team supported and operations running smoothly. Come be part of a workplace where your work makes a difference every day. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department including supervising and assisting the staff with payroll processing including general ledger entry and reconciliation, customer service and other department functions as needed.   *Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise assigned staff, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance Oversee and assist with payroll processing for all Resort employees Correct any issues in resort employees checks and/or explain calculations Reconcile and verify payroll reports Prepares and enters payroll related general ledger journal entries Prepare various reports and schedules Must exercise confidentiality and discretion daily Collaborate with Accounting to report and track payroll related financials Collaborate with Human Resources to implement Personnel Actions Assist internal customers with payroll questions or concerns Create, reconcile, and verify Payroll reports Assist in auditing employee database and implement audit recommendations Review for accuracy, and report ACA hours for Resort Employees to HR Process garnishments Complete income verification paperwork Utilize standard accounting concepts, practices, and payroll procedures Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned Must follow all safety rules and regulations Follow all general and department policies and procedures   QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; degree in accounting or related field preferred 4 years payroll or accounting experience preferred American Payroll Association certification preferred Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, telephone systems, calculators, copiers and fax machines Experience in payroll software preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in a confidential, time sensitive environment Strong organization, prioritization and writing skills Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner      Why work for 7 Cedars?
