General Description
The Harvest Floor Technician is responsible for the slaughter process of beef, pork as well as the splitting of hogs as experience is gained.
Job Duties
- Work in the slaughter operation of pork.
- Trimming and washing of carcasses.
- Work around and with livestock.
- Work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
- Learn and follow regulations set by the USDA.
- Learn to use and sharpen a knife in an efficient manner.
- Be aware of and follow strict safety guidelines.
- Willing to work overtime and on Saturdays if needed.Â
- Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.Â
Requirements
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
- Heavy lifting (Capable of at least 50-100 lbs)
- Long periods of walking and standing
