What You'll Do

As a Residential Specialist, you will:

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings while promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities, transportation, community participation, and achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment while supporting compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including medication administration records, progress notes, goal tracking, incident reports, and other required records.
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, support teams, and community partners to ensure high-quality care and positive outcomes for the individuals supported.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred:

• Previous experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a human services setting

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Flexible scheduling based on program needs
• Weekend and holiday hours may be required
• On-call or emergency support may be required as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed throughout the workday
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
