Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welding, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining all equipment, both rented and owned.Â
- Operating all authorized and required welding equipment.Â
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.Â
- Prepares, assembles, and tack welds parts that need to be welded.Â
- Following and upholding all required safety rules and regulations.Â
- Recognizing and correcting safety hazards.Â
- General housekeeping duties relating to equipment, materials, and cleaning of work area.Â
- Supporting any other shop activities, as required.Â
- Check over finished work to ensure that it's within the desired tolerances.Â
- Maintain all of the tools and equipment assigned to you.Â

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used for welding.Â
- Ability to read and understand the welding instructions from drawings, models, and blueprints.Â
- Ability to mark-up these construction drawings with as-built information.Â
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.Â
- Basic understanding of mathematics, as related to welding assignments.Â
- Ability to work in different environments (i.e. inside, outside, very hot, very cold, etc.).Â

Education and Experience Requirements:
5+ years of welding experienceÂ

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods (8+ hours) of standing and walking while wearing all required PPE.Â
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Â
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.Â
