Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate Headquarters - Carol Stream, IL 60188Salary Range: $107,000.00 - $133,000.00 Salary/yearPurpose of the role: To define and evolve engineering architecture by establishing technologies, system structures, and guiding principles that anticipate how products are developed, create clarity upfront, and enable consistent, efficient, and future-ready execution.   Key Accountabilities: Architectural Asset Development: Design and develop modular, reusable architectural assets (components, reference designs, frameworks, or code) for adoption within Product Development. Technology and Platform Definition: Define and evolve technologies and platforms to drive consistency and reduce rework. Architecture & System Structure Definition: Define system-level architectures that clearly describes how solutions are intended to work. Upfront Architectural Clarity: Translate technical problems into clear architectural direction before development begins. Technical Tradeoff Guidance: Guide early tradeoff decisions by clarifying constraints, options, and implications. Decision Readiness & Alignment: Enable faster decisions by through clear, aligned architectural inputs. Principles, Standards & Guidelines: Define architectural principles, standards, and tools that teams can consistently apply. Platform & Reuse Enablement: Identify opportunities for reuse and modularity to improve speed, quality, and scalability. Lifecycle & Future-Proofing Insight: Ensure architecture supports long-term use across development, operation, and service.   Success Measures: Lead Indicators: Architecture Readiness at PD Entry, Architecture Reuse Rate, Decision Resolution Speed, Standards Adoption Rate, Upfront Architecture Engagement, Platform & Technology Alignment, Architectural Risk Identification   Lag Indicators: Engineering Rework Reduction, Component Reduction (increase in common components), Development Cycle Time Reduction, Platform Reuse Growth, Product Quality Improvement, Time-to-Market Improvement, Cost Predictability Improvement, Service & Lifecycle Performance Improvement QualificationsProfessional: Engineering architecture definition, system and platform design, development of modular and reusable architectural components, systems thinking, technology evaluation and roadmap alignment Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics) Leadership skills: Technical Leadership (without Authority), Strong Collaboration, Clear and Adaptive Communication, Stakeholder Influence, Accountability, Autonomy   Benefits Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
