Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

2nd Shift 3pm-11pm & 3rd Shift 11pm-7am / Sunday night to Friday night

The Job You Will Perform:

Maintenance Technicians are key players in our organization. These technicians ensure our customers receive quality products that are delivered on time by making sure our equipment operates correctly and efficiently. We are looking for motivated and qualified Maintenance Mechanics at our Carol Stream facility and willing to work off shifts. Pay range is $29.82/hour to $38.53/hour + $0.25/hour shift differential. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible to safely maintain all equipment utilizing the planned preventative maintenance program, troubleshoot and solve equipment problems, prioritize the scheduled maintenance work around the daily production schedules, create an atmosphere and culture that drives toward an accident free workplace, utilize both excellent mechanical skills and electrical/electronic skills.  

  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment, such as any servicing of conveyors, presses, stackers, etc.

  • Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams/schematics, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.

  • Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components, electrical controls, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission.

  • Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs.  Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity.  Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble.  Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts.

  • Examine and determine to what degree parts have worn, and repair or replace parts as needed.

  • Operate metal, woodworking, and hand tools to make, and repair, parts. 

  • This all will be done in a safe manner.

  • Minimum three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.

  • Candidate must have technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment.

  • Must have good working knowledge of various meters (volt/amp meters, schematics, dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.)

  • Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Able to handle multiple projects at one time.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
