Build complex electromechanical units for mission critical data center (DC) assemblies per applicable documentation and quality workmanship standards. Assemblies may include cables, harnesses, and electromechanical sub-assemblies within large chassis modules. 


  • Follow work process instructions and specifications, both written and verbal
  • Responsible for wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable assembly to connect electronic elements to mechanical systems along with developing cut and run list
  • Operate a variety of equipment as needed to manufacturing processes and perform maintenance as specified on the preventive maintenance schedule
  • Understand, identify, and troubleshoot defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
  • Assist DC Systems Engineers to develop assembly instructions and provide information to develop production tooling
  • Build complex assemblies of unique design per customer requirements and suggest changes for improvements
  • Perform verification and/or functional tests in accordance with assembly instructions and blueprints
  • Work as part of a progressive assembly line where you will be responsible for maintaining a steady flow to minimize bottlenecks
  • Recommend changes in documentation to ensure high quality results
  • Assist in training other employees and provide guidance in following procedures 
  • Rework and/or repair assemblies as required
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print for complex assemblies
  • Advanced ability to use basic hand tools including, but not limited to, dial calipers, torque wrenches, testing devices, etc.
  • Advanced ability to wire assemblies per assembly instructions, production drawings, schematics, ladder diagrams, etc. 
  • Able to build electronic assemblies and consoles to requirements including IPC-620 
  • Ability to use cut, strip, and crimp wires
  • Strong math computation, measurement skills, and mechanical aptitude
  • Advanced ability to work in a high detail environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
  • Strong ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
  • Strong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes



Required Experience & Education 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience (or demonstrated ability to independently perform essential functions of the job for internal candidates)
  • Mechatronics, Applied Engineering Technology certificate, or similar preferred
