Job DetailsJob Location: BC1 - Carpinteria, CA 93013Salary Range: $18.50 - $23.37 Hourly Position Profile The Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving 1 is responsible for supporting the Shipping and Receiving functions by/ which include timely receiving of incoming shipments, unloading, breaking down, validating counts, stocking items, picking finished goods, packing, and processing sales orders accordingly. The Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving 1 will work under the direct supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, able to give and take constructive feedback, effectively collaborate with coworkers, and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge & Experience Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to lift-up to 50lbs. continuously as needed. Ability to operate industrial power trucks and equipment as needed. Read and write English Fluently. Must be able to obtain a high degree of knowledge of BEGA inventory parts (3-6months learning period). Prior shipping and receiving experience a plus. Team Player. High School diploma/GED preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics. What you’ll do Shipping: Packing customer orders for damage-free shipment. Process sales orders electronically Maintain shipping accuracy Performs department housekeeping duties. Picks finished goods material for shipment. Assembles wooden pallets or selects pre-assembled pallets for shipments. Performs other duties as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and/or Lead. Receiving: Unloads, breaks down and validates incoming purchase order shipments. Reports discrepancies to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and Purchasing. Processes purchase orders into computer inventory system (Visibility). Maintains records of all received items on-a-daily basis. Performs other duties as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and/or Lead. Consolidate inventory Assemble wooden pallets for incoming shipments Performance Measurements Team Player -willingness to help when needed, where needed. Punctual Dependable Able to work overtime including Saturdays as needed. Position Dimensions Daily receipt and put-away goal of 15+ line items (if working in Receiving). Daily Shipping goal of packaging 25+ orders per day (if working in Shipping). Able to work overtime as required, including Saturdays. Non-Exempt Salary Range $17.50 - $19.88 Annually/Hourly depending on experience/qualifications reflects the negotiable range for hire. The top of the range $22.26, is reserved for salary advancement and growth for this position.
