Job Summary

 

Position Summary: The accountant role assists in preparation of the financial statements for all divisions of Networking Systems with strong experience in reconciliations, budget management, and cost accounting. This position requires attention to detail, understanding of GAAP accounting principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

This position is a hybrid position requiring on-site attendance a minimum of two days/week and is in Carrollton, GA.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, financial reporting, or management
  • Manufacturing Background is preferred

Additional Qualifications, Certifications and/or Licenses:

  • A CPA or CMA preferred

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations and Revenue and COGS. Analyze monthly inventory and help with the annual physical inventory. Assist and distribute expense spending to the cost centers within the division. Assist the Plant controller as assigned.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Assist Controller in reviewing budget details and assisting with presentation.
  • Operational Improvement:
    • Work with operations teams to resolve financial issues and drive improvements in profitability and cash flow within the region.
  • Annual Audit & Risk Management:
    • Prepare annual documents requested from Auditors.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • JDE and / or SAP knowledge preferred

 

General Expectations

 

  • Demonstrate effective communication (verbal, written) skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Maintain discretion when working with confidential and proprietary information.
  • Strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conform to all aspects of Lightera’s “Standards of Conduct”.
  • Serve as a role model for safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
