Position Summary

The Quality Support Technician plays a key role in delivering high-performance cooling technology that powers the world’s most advanced data centers and AI systems. In this role, you will be the quality champion on the production floor — helping ensure every component, subassembly, and finished product meets the highest standards for safety, reliability, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

You’ll get hands-on experience with new designs straight from Engineering/R&D, supporting first article inspections, problem-solving real issues as they happen, and helping us scale builds from prototype to full production. You’ll lead root cause investigations, drive corrective actions, maintain key quality documents, and support internal audits that keep our systems performing at the highest level.

If you are passionate about learning, energized by fast-paced environments, and excited to strengthen your technical skills while making a big impact — this role gives you the chance to grow into a recognized quality leader. You’ll work side-by-side with experts across Production and Engineering, mentor junior technicians, and contribute directly to improvements that reduce defects, increase throughput, and delight our customers.

Core Responsibilities by Competency Area

Current-State Responsibilities

  • Serve as the SME for inspection methods, metrology, calibration, and test systems
  • Lead full CAPA lifecycle — detection → investigation → root cause → corrective action → verification
  • Lead internal audits and support regulatory/customer audit readiness
  • Ensure accurate documentation and traceability within the QMS

Near-Term Expectations

  • Develop and monitor quality metrics and dashboards; communicate trends and risks
  • Create, approve, and maintain SOPs, control plans, inspection criteria, and checklists
  • Partner with Engineering/R&D for NPI — first article inspections, validation, and manufacturability improvements

Forward-Looking Capabilities

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and increase throughput
  • Drive quality readiness activities for higher-volume production and line startup
  • Provide technical guidance on process capability (Cp/Cpk), reliability data, and design feedback

Startup / Ramp-Up Agility

  • Influence standardization and scalability in evolving environments
  • Promote a culture of proactive quality including layered process audits (LPAs)
  • Support troubleshooting during engineering builds and design iterations

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Train and mentor cross-functional operators
  • Provide credible quality leadership during issue resolution on the floor

Key Duties

  • Lead root cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree, or similar
  • Maintain nonconformance records, defect containment, and verification of effectiveness
  • Conduct complex dimensional analysis, fit checks, and high-risk product testing
  • Validate accuracy of measurement instruments and maintain calibration standards
  • Contribute to PFMEA and risk control improvements
  • Reinforce safety, housekeeping, and compliance within all activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6+ years’ experience in manufacturing quality roles (electronics or electro-mechanical preferred)
  • Advanced use of precision measurement and product testing equipment
  • Proven experience driving CAPA and systemic quality improvements
  • ISO 9001:2015 knowledge required; Internal Auditor training or ASQ certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills — ability to influence without authority
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings, BoM, and specifications
  • Quality data analysis and reporting

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or Technical field preferred
  • Willingness to obtain ASQ and/or Internal Auditor certification (if not already earned)
