The Warehouse Technician is a more experienced and well rounded employee who works as a part of the team of individuals who receive, handle, process and ship all of the Company’s customer materials in such a way as to maintain our Company’s reputation for unparalleled customer service.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWork diligently at such Warehouse jobs and functions are requested by his or her Supervisor, according to the standards for such job or function established in our Company’s ISO procedures; seek opportunities for cross-training amongst the various jobs and functions.Make decisions within the context outlined by his or her Supervisor.Replenish supplies for his or her Warehouse job or, as requested, for other Warehouse jobs within the facility.Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, including the removal of trash, as needed.Assemble spools, as requested.Perform minor repairs to equipment and machinery, as needed.Assist in training new Warehouse employees.Be punctual and regular in work attendance.Communicate effectively with his or her co-workers and his or her Supervisor.Build relationships and teamwork with his or her co-workers.Personal DevelopmentDemonstrate yOURpotential commitment by working to complete your EPP annually.*The above represents the essential job functions that you are assigned to perform in your job.  If you are unable to perform these essential duties, please see Human Resources as IEWC may be able to provide reasonable accommodations against the ADA requirements.The values, competencies, technical skills and physical demands enumerated below are representative of those required while taking action to successfully fulfill the Key Responsibilities of the position.VALUES AND COMPETENCIESSupport IEWC’s commitment to its Values and reflect all Competencies relevant to the position, as reflected on The Wire under Human Resources> Human Resources> EPP.TECHNICAL SKILLSEducation and/or Experience: High School graduate (or GED) and three to twelve months of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.Specific Company Requirements: Additionally, eight months of on the job experience in our Company’s warehouses is required, plus a minimum of 30 points generated by completing the requirements set out in a function chart maintained by the Warehouse Supervisor, plus a Good  or better rating, on average, in various areas of the Evaluation and Goal Setting Form.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Applications Skills: Ability to work in a Windows environment and with standard current computer applications.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Movement: Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
