Description

Performs Echocardiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of heart disease according to established standards on patients. This position also requires the ability to perform other diagnostic procedures, including stress testing. This is a PRN position.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain knowledge of sectional anatomy & select the proper technical factors and imaging modes in order to produce high quality images, along with positioning the patient and equipment.  
  • Review images for quality before completion of exam. 
  • Obtain and utilize pertinent medical history to obtain optimum exams, and communicate with pertinent medical professionals. 
  • Utilize effective patient care and communicate skills to obtain optimum patient rapport. 
  • Monitor patient condition and take appropriate action to ensure continuity of patient care. 
  • Review and recommend equipment/supply purchases 

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. 
  • Active listening, social perceptiveness, and a commitment to patient-centered care. 
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to document accurately in electronic medical records systems. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time and responsibilities independently. 
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude in fast-paced clinical settings. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all safety and compliance standards. 

Education/Experience: 

  • 1-5 years experience preferred 

Certification: 

  • Active RDCS certification required, or registry eligible 
  • Healthcare provider BLS certification
