This position is responsible for the secure collection, transportation, and documentation of gaming funds while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with Nevada Gaming regulations and internal controls. About the Role The Soft Count Team Member performs the daily collection (“drop”) of bill validator boxes from slot machines and table games across the casino floor. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strict compliance, and the safeguarding of company assets. Key Responsibilities Perform the daily drop of all slot machines and designated table games in accordance with established procedures Remove full bill validator boxes and replace them with empty, secured units Transport collected boxes using secured carts to the count room Accurately log, track, and verify all collected assets and maintain detailed count sheets Input count data into casino management systems for audit and reporting purposes Follow all internal controls, security protocols, and Nevada Gaming compliance standards at all times Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity in handling all monetary assets Work collaboratively with team members while also demonstrating the ability to operate independently Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with guests, team members, and vendors Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional manner Perform other duties as assigned by management   Education & Experience Must be 21 years of age or older Previous experience handling cash is required Basic computer and math skills required Ability to operate a 10-key calculator efficiently Working knowledge of systems such as S.D.S. or Casino Market Place is a plus Qualifications & Additional Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow verbal instructions and conduct hands-on training when needed Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security, and detail-oriented environment Strong attention to accuracy and accountability in handling financial assets Ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet strict procedural timelines Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Ability to push/pull carts and stand or walk for extended periods Must be able to tolerate casino environment conditions including secondary smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights.
