Job Summary**
The Material Handler II is responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials within the Hyve Solutions Corporation warehouse or production facility. This role involves operating various material handling equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage; report discrepancies.
* Unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
* Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for production orders or outbound shipments according to pick lists or instructions.
* Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
* Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate inventory records.
* Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
* Proven ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (certification preferred).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, picking, and verifying materials.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and using warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
