Our client is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for an inpatient substance use disorder treatment program. This role is responsible for overseeing medical services, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising providers, and supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Â
- Oversee medical care, treatment planning, and clinical operations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and monitor medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- Collaborate with psychiatric and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Ensure compliance with state and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain medical policies and clinical protocols.
- Supervise Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development.

Qualifications:
Â
- MD or DO with an active New York State medical license.
- DEA registration and OPRA certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with substance use disorder populations.
- Prior medical leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain Addiction Medicine Board Certification within 4 years of hire.
