Our client is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for an inpatient substance use disorder treatment program. This role is responsible for overseeing medical services, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising providers, and supporting high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee medical care, treatment planning, and clinical operations.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders.
Prescribe and monitor medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
Collaborate with psychiatric and multidisciplinary care teams.
Ensure compliance with state and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain medical policies and clinical protocols.
Supervise Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development.

Qualifications:

MD or DO with an active New York State medical license.
DEA registration and OPRA certification.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with substance use disorder populations.
Prior medical leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Ability to obtain Addiction Medicine Board Certification within 4 years of hire.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in addiction medicine, detoxification, or behavioral health.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance and quality improvement practices.
Experience with EMR systems and healthcare technology.
