What You'll Do:

Lay out, position, align and fits together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches in preparation for welding
Tack-welds pieces together
Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weld-able materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints schematics and sketches using manual and/or semi-automatic welding equipment
Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
Observe all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records
Follow all safety rules and practices
Be involved in safety committees or initiatives
May perform GMAW, FCAW, or SMAW welding
May weld on stainless
Perform out-of-position welding and repairs

What You'll Need:

1-2 years of experience preferred
Proficiency in fillet & grove weld, Oxy-Fuel Cutting, and Carbon Arcing
Ability to pass weld assessment
Ability to accurately measure within specified tolerances
Ability to work first shift hours 6:00am - 4:30pm and all required overtime to include weekends if required
