We are hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an exciting opportunity to join our growing team at our Cartersville office!

Monday-Friday with hours typically being 8AM - 5PM. No nights/call/weekends/major holidays.

In addition to your usual nuclear medicine responsibilities, this position will also provide the opportunity to perform cardiac PET stress tests, on a bi-weekly basis. Previous experience in cardiac PET is not required, we are willing to train!

Duties may include but not limited to:

  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patient and answer questions/concerns related to procedure.
  • Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received and used following physician's prescription.
  • Start patient IV’s and administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment, under direction of physician.
  • Interpret EKG results.
  • Maintain patient safety standards while patient is undergoing procedure.
  • Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures.
  • Perform/process cardiac function studies (i.e. myocardial perfusion imaging, viability imaging, and cardiac amyloidosis imaging)
  • Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of NMIS (nuclear medicine information system)

Requirements:

  • Dependable team player is a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to recognize and respond to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Must be certified in ARRT(N) or CNMT and hold an active BLS.
  • Always provide exceptional patient care & etiquette
  • Flexibility in schedule and location. Schedule may occasionally be 7AM-4PM, and travel is sporadically required for coverage at other locations (Johns Creek/Canton/Woodstock)
  • Experience is preferred, however new graduates are encouraged to apply.
