SUMMARY:Â
The Financial Advisor is the primary advisor for clients typically in the $250K - $2MM segment (and may support "Prime" relationships as designed), delivering a structured advice experience including inquiry, planning, implementation, and periodic reviews. The Financial Advisor partners with specialists as needed and ensures consistent, proactive client engagement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Â

15%Â Develop and maintain a portfolio of investment and wealth management clients.
15%Â Conduct comprehensive financial reviews and needs analyses. Deliver personalized financial planning and investment recommendations based on each client's objectives, risk tolerance, and financial circumstances.
10%Â Build long-term trusted advisor relationships through proactive communication and ongoing portfolio reviews. Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships across banking, wealth management, trust, insurance, and lending products.
5%Â Generate new investment assets through referrals, prospecting, centers of influence, and community involvement.
5%Â Partner with retail and commercial banking teams to identify and cultivate wealth management opportunities. Conduct client seminars, educational workshops, and networking activities to enhance business development efforts.
5%Â Meet or exceed established production, asset growth, and client acquisition goals.
5%Â Develop and implement tailored investment strategies aligned with client goals. Provide guidance related to retirement planning, education planning, wealth accumulation, income strategies, and legacy planning.
5%Â Monitor portfolio performance and recommend appropriate adjustments, as needed.
 5% Stay informed of market trends, economic conditions, investment products, and industry developments.
5%Â Ensure all activities comply with applicable SEC, FINRA, state insurance, and Bank regulations.
5%Â Maintain accurate and complete client documentation and records.
5%Â Adhere to all fiduciary, suitability, and disclosure requirements. Complete all required compliance training and continuing education.
5%Â Work collaboratively with Bank leadership and referral partners to promote a coordinated client experience.
5%Â Participate in sales meetings, branch visits, community events, and strategic initiatives. Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for associates regarding wealth management solutions.
5% Contribute to special tasks and projects, as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Bachelor degree with 4 years’ experience in financial advisory, planning, brokerage, or Bank-based investment programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- FINRA Series 7 License
- FINRA Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65)
- North Carolina Life and Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Strong understanding of investment products, retirement planning, financial planning, and wealth management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong sales, business development, and networking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)
