You will need to live within commuting distance of our Cary, Illinois office. This is a hybrid role, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday and the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.

What You Will Do 

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, driving talent acquisition, engagement, and growth. 

  • Execute complex projects with accountability for planning, budgeting, staffing, and delivery of results. 

  • Apply problem-solving and process improvement methodologies to resolve technical and business challenges. 

  • Influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders through clear, strategic communication. 

  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging in hiring and team development. 

  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and design control standards. 

  • Partner with customers and key opinion leaders to align technical strategies with clinical needs. 

  • Contribute to financial modeling and strategic planning for product segments or business functions. 

What You Will Need 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 

  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience in engineering or product development. 

  • At least two years of direct people management experience. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with regulatory compliance in medical device development. 

  • Experience working in R&D full life-cycle new product development.

  • Proven success in coaching team performance and managing talent strategies. 

  • Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics and competitors. 

  • Experience in budget creation and financial accountability at the project level. 

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
