Position: RPG Programmer Location: Cary, Illinois

Our systems support manufacturing, engineering, finance, and operations across multiple facilities worldwide. We are seeking an RPG Programmer to join our IT team and support the continued development, maintenance, and improvement of our business systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical applications that directly support manufacturing and operational efficiency.

About the Role and Your Impact

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and document application programs
  • Analyze system requirements and contribute to the application system design
  • Develop solutions that align with business objectives, system capabilities, and operational requirements
  • Support ongoing business system operations, including OS upgrades, performance monitoring, and backup maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation
  • Collaborate with IT staff, users, and business teams to support system improvements
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts and programmers
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP and business systems

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of application system analysis and programming concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and technical tasks
