Job DetailsJob Location: NC The Umstead Hotel and Spa - Cary, NC 27513Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $30.00 - $50.00 HourlyJob Shift: Flex AM/PM*Pay range includes tips* Basic Job Function: To help the overall day to day operation and long term outlook of the Bar & Lounge; to give each guest top-rated service with quality knowledge, understanding and interest in every component of the dishes and beverages that they serve. Job Description: The essential job function is to provide polite, fast, precise, courteous and professional service to our guests. As a Bar & Lounge server, you are part of a larger team of Food & Beverage professionals, who hold the responsibility of providing our guests with a memorable experience. A positive attitude and embracing the power of supporting one another is essential part of the Bar & Lounge Team. Job Requirements: Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform. Accurately take food order from guest, place it into the POS 100% accurately, obtain information of allergies and or special needs and communicate that efficiently. Accurately deliver food from kitchen, Hot and Cold. Assist in the clearing and resetting of tables, and transport of food to and from kitchens. Coordinate activities with team members to execute a smooth flowing dining experience for guests. Display a cordial, accommodating, and hospitable disposition while interacting with guests. Stocking and Sidework. In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager. QualificationsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others. Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner. Must have a good knowledge of food and preparation. Must have or quickly acquire a good knowledge of wine. Must be able to relate to all levels of guests and management. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
