Mortenson is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager II to join our Solar group, to provide electrical technical support throughout construction projects, interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment with professionalism and efficiency.Â

Location: Must be open to any location in the continental United States.
Â
Travel: This is a 100% travel position; locations may vary based on the project. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project. When your project is complete you will be assigned to another project.
Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Provide technical electrical support to crews and subcontractorsÂ
Supervise self-perform crewsÂ
Identify and maintain a list of qualified electrical contractors and engineersÂ
Review design documents for conformance and resolve issuesÂ
Implement best practices and low-cost alternatives; keep clients informedÂ
Coordinate with departments to support project schedulesÂ
Work with Project Managers on budgeting, forecasting, and managing resourcesÂ
Coach, mentor, and train field personnelÂ
Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety ProgramÂ
Â
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent fieldÂ
Minimum eight years of electrical construction management and/or electrical design experienceÂ
Minimum two years of experience with project completion from mobilization to turnoverÂ
Proficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledgeÂ
Specialized knowledge/experience in electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.Â
Current driver's licenseÂ
Knowledge of NEC code and NE safety codeÂ
Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsÂ
Detail-oriented to manage multiple project tasksÂ
Basic understanding of construction law and business practicesÂ
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and web applicationsÂ
Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skillsÂ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
Active listening skills and effective communicationÂ
Ability to travel up to 100%Â

The base pay range for this role is $144,300 MIN - $216,500 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
