Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities Â
The Die Repair Technician performs general repairs and simple modifications to dies/molds, as directed. In this role, you will support plant improvement programs with regard to die/mold modifications and secondary fixtures construction. You will also perform all work in a skilled and safe manner. You will be an ideal candidate if you are enthusiastic and willing to learn die/mold repair techniques and the processes required for die/mold repair and fixtures fabrication. Â

Additional Job DutiesÂ
*Learn to use and work with hand tools such as die grinders, pencil grinders and sandersÂ
*Learn to use and work with measurement devices such a calipers, micrometers, depth gages, angle gages, and scales, among others.Â
*Occasionally perform TIG, MIG, Stick, and Oxy/Acetylene welding.Â
*Support plant improvement programs with construction of secondary fixtures and other needed equipment.Â
*Move dies/molds, separate die/mold cavity and core, and turn over dies/molds as needed and in a safe manner.Â
*Work with other areas of management to implement engineering changes to parts/dies/molds.Â
*Perform preventive maintenance on dies/molds.Â
*Maintain records of work performed on dies/molds and fixtures.Â
*Be knowledgeable of and continuously use the “buddy lift” method for moving all parts, including but not limited to awkward lifting circumstances.Â
*Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices.Â
*Perform other related duties, as instructed.Â
*Complete training on all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lean Operating *Procedures (LOPs), policies, and procedures.Â

Basic Qualifications Â
*Previous experience in Die/Mold making or repairÂ
*A strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and liftingÂ
*The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability.Â
*A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset.Â
*A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope.Â

Preferred Qualifications Â
*Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environmentÂ
*Have a natural ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity. *High school diploma/GED is preferred. Â
