Hexcel is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Casa Grande, AZ location. Please note that the successful candidate will train on day shift and must be willing to accept an assignment on any shift and within any department once training has been completed.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Supervise, educate, coach and provide motivational opportunities to team members; remove barriers to assure individual and group success and completion of all goals in the following areas: Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Productivity/Cost Control and Continuous Improvement (5s, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Provide leadership through active participation in the development of employees and employee morale.  Establish an atmosphere of teamwork to assure the success of the team.
  • Train, plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, issue commendations and disciplinary actions and address complaints/resolve problems for all direct reports.
  • Strong focus on behavior-based safety through strong leadership, adherence to observation programs and proactive balanced real-time feedback and actions.
  • Lead role in incident and near miss investigations leading to Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Eliminate actual and potential safety issues, unsafe acts and/or conditions to preclude accidents, to keep Hexcel employees safe
  • Act as Emergency Response Coordinator when called upon
  • Increase throughput, reduce inventories, and reduce operating expenses to continually reduce costs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to two years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with 5S, LEAN and continuous improvement is preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite of products
