Job Title: Cosmetologist

Reports to: Director of Luxury Spa & Fitness, Spa Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Part-time, seasonal

Position Summary: The Spa Cosmetologist is a highly skilled beauty professional, providing a comprehensive range of hair and nail services with a focus on personalized attention, advanced techniques, and luxury products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities are to provide exceptional professional service to Mountaintop members, guests, and staff.

Expert hair cutting, styling, straightening, and coloring services with a focus on precision, and sophisticated techniques.
Evaluate a customer’s hair condition and offer recommendations for treatments.
Recommend hair products to customers.
Ability to give meticulous manicure, pedicure, polish application, and hand/foot treatments.
Prepare nail care equipment, sanitize instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts. Aide in stocking supplies.
Maintain an impeccably clean and sterile working environment to comply with state health and safety regulations.
Stay up to date on various techniques and services via classes and seminars.
Deliver excellent service and uphold the highest standards for all members and guests.
Excellent time management skills.
Well developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Director, Spa management, team, and members.
The ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively.
Cosmetologist must maintain a flexible schedule and be able to work days, evening, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Please, no days off on Fourth of July Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, or Labor Day Weekend. The Spa Director will do everything possible to address schedule considerations with all Spa and Fitness team members to ensure quality of life and a schedule that accommodates members and guests.

Qualifications:

Must have a current NC cosmetologist license and updated CEU’s
Previous experience in a spa setting preferred
Positive attitude and ability to build rapport with members, leadership team, and coworkers.

Education and Experience:

Current NC Cosmetology License
2+ years' experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.

Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 25lbs intermittently or repeatedly throughout a shift.
