What You'll Do:
- Provide support to our sister company Eighty-Eight Oil LLC.
- Oversee the accounting team, managing day-to-day operations.
- Ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to team members.
- Provide training and guidance.
- Monitor employee performance and address concerns or conflicts that arise.
- Act as a bridge between higher-level management and subordinates, relaying information and ensuring objectives are met.
- Prepare and review forecasts and budgets.
- Review reports and schedule to ensure the accuracy of day-to-day transactions.
- Review and approve direct reports’ work, including vouchers, schedules, etc.
- Reconcile, identify, and resolve issues within accounts.
- Journal voucher preparation of accounts directly related to area of responsibility.
- Work with operation and the accounting group to resolve problems.
- File state and federal reports as required.
- Assist with financial statement preparation, forecasts and budgets, payroll costing, and annual close and audit preparation.
- Assist with / oversee creation of accounting documentation and SOP’s.
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education with five (5) or more years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.Â
- Advanced proficiency in accounting principles
- Must have a complete understanding of industry-specific accounting principles and experience with overall GL.
- Must have project and task management skills and the ability to supervise subordinates and their work over multiple areas of accounting.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Education, Experience and/or AbilitiesÂ
- Leadership, supervisory, and training skills.
Computer Skills Â
- Advanced computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel software applications.
- Must have an understanding of Accounting Information Systems/ERP.
 Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.Â
