X-Ray Technologist (PRN)

The Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team, on an as-needed basis (PRN). As an X-Ray Technologist at CHCCW, you'll play an important role in helping providers diagnose and treat patients by performing high-quality radiographic examinations in a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment. You'll work alongside providers and clinical staff as part of a collaborative team committed to improving the health of the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist, you will:

• Perform medically indicated diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by qualified healthcare providers.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while utilizing safe and effective radiation protection practices.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout the imaging process.
• Process and transmit radiographic images and required documentation to the interpreting radiologist.
• Distribute radiology reports and images to ordering and referring providers.
• Promptly communicate critical imaging findings to ordering or covering providers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient imaging workflows and patient care.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while maintaining image quality standards.
• Assist with the maintenance and quality control of radiology equipment and department manuals.
• Maintain radiation monitoring requirements, including film badge compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Maintain current professional licensure and certifications.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training program.
• Registered or registry eligible through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist (RT) License or ability to obtain licensure before employment.

Experience

• One (1) year of full-time experience performing phlebotomy in an accredited laboratory is required.
• Experience performing diagnostic radiographic examinations preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging best practices.

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and assisting patients with positioning for radiographic procedures. Candidates must be able to safely assist patients onto and off imaging tables and move patients into appropriate positions for imaging. Work is performed in a medical clinic environment and requires the use of appropriate radiation protection and personal protective equipment. Occasional travel between CHCCW locations may be required.

This position routinely handles sensitive and confidential patient information. Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and CHCCW confidentiality standards is required.
