Position: Respiratory Therapist

Hours: Part-Time. Days. Partial Benefits. 
 
Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist. We’re looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) approved program of respiratory care.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. (RRT needs to be obtained within 6 months of graduating)
  • Associate of Science (A.S.) required.
  • One year hospital experience in respiratory care preferred. 
  • Able to perform CPR and Current BLS certification required at date of hire by the American Heart Association.
  • Must obtain ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire date by American Heart Association.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The RT acquires training and clinical experience while providing logistical support for the operations of the Respiratory Care Department. The RT possesses sufficient training and experience to perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. The final and ultimate authority, judgment, and clinical decision-making are the responsibility of a physician. The therapist is involved in acute, critical and/or life-threatening patient care areas and situations. Standard practice requires him/her to proceed along in administering emergency, life-sustaining procedures until such time as judgment and decision-making responsibilities may be assumed by a physician.
