Job Summary

The janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the aluminum extrusion facility. This position performs daily housekeeping, supports facility upkeep, assists with minor maintenance tasks, and helps ensure compliance with plant safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas
• Collect and dispose of scrap, trash, and recyclable materials
• Sweep, dust, mop, and operate floor cleaning equipment as needed
• Clean support areas, packing areas, and shipping areas to maintain housekeeping standards
• Maintain janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and housekeeping issues
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
• Use of PPE in production settings required.
• Occasional lifting, bending, repetitive motion, and extended standing/walking.
• Off-shift, overtime, or weekend support may be required.
