Wellspring Community is seeking a Part Time Direct Support Provider to join our Residential Team in Castle Rock. A Direct Support Professional is more than just helping someone with their daily activities; it is assisting someone to live a meaningful life. Part Time Schedule: Varies Two afternoons/evenings and every Saturday; 20 -24 hours weeklyÂ
Â
Essential Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Â
- Provide direct care and supervision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community and in their personal home. Â
- Assist individuals in completing living skills, money management, cooking, and community participation, hygiene routine, household cleaning, and grocery shopping  Â
- Plan and carry out a variety of recreational activities to advance social development (outings to museums, parks, dances, recreation center, etc.). Â
- Provide transportation to individuals as needed. Â
- Assist with medical care (medication administration, and transportation to medical appointments). Â
- Implement and document individual goals and medical tracking electronically. Â
- Participate with the team in development and implementation of the Individual Service and Support Plan. Â
- Coordinate other resources as needed, including support in arranging and/or directly providing transportation for participants. Â
- Facilitate and monitor activities consistent with Individual Service Plan goals and objectives for assigned caseload.

- Responsible for supporting and maintaining a physically and psychologically safe environment. Â

- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Â
- Demonstrates ability to manage challenging behaviors through the execution of positive behavior supports for each individual/unique situation or seek help from senior positions when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills: 
Â
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Â
- Experience working with the IDD community or other at-risk population  Â
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)  Â
- Valid Driver’s license Â
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Electronic Charting Systems. Â
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and obtain DOT certification.
