Job Description

About the Role:

As a Plant Health Care Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and vitality of plants in our care. You will work closely with our team of experts to diagnose and treat plant diseases, pests, and other issues. Your work will be critical in maintaining the beauty and health of our clients' landscapes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience in Plant ID and product application
  • Experience with plant care and maintenance
  • Pesticide Applicators License

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular plant health assessments and develop treatment plans as needed
  • Practice various PHC treatments such as: fertilization, soil amendments, pest and disease control measures. 
  • Perform soil compaction alleviation. 
  • Perform deep root injections, watering, and other PHC services
  • Communicate with clients about plant health and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate records of all treatments and assessments
  • At times you will need to assist climbers in the removal of trees, trimming of branches, etc.as a groundsperson.
  • Assist the company in building a Plant Health Care Program

Skills:

As a Plant Health Care Technician, you will use your knowledge of plant care and maintenance to help build a PHC program to add to our growing business. You will also use your knowledge to diagnose and treat a variety of plant issues. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members and maintain accurate records of all treatments and assessments. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be critical in ensuring the health and vitality of the plants in our care.
