Role Summary
The Women’s Ministry Coordinator provides hands-on leadership for Women’s Ministry at Plum Creek. This role is responsible for executing ministry vision, building and leading volunteer teams, and creating environments where women can grow in community and in their relationship with Christ.
This position works closely with the Discipleship Pastor and serves as the primary leader for women’s ministry contributors, leaders, and events. It is a key role within the Discipleship Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of Women’s Ministry events
- Build, develop, and care for the Women’s Ministry contributor team through intentional recruitment, training, and ongoing support
- Ensure all ministry efforts align with Plum Creek’s mission, vision, and core values
- Collaborate with other departments to maximize ministry impact and alignment across the church
- Create clear next steps for women to find community, grow spiritually, and get connected
- Provide spiritual and relational leadership to women across various life stages
- Steward the Women’s Ministry budget with wisdom and accountability
- To carry out the church’s message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our mission of Changed Lives, Changing Lives.
Job Specific Responsibilities & Tasks
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Women’s Ministry contributor team through regular communication, encouragement, and resourcing
- Facilitate team meetings for planning, alignment, and connection
- Provide leadership, direction, and feedback to any direct reports or residents
- Empower volunteers to take ownership and lead within their roles
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with the Discipleship Pastor on vision, strategy, and discipleship opportunities
- Serve as the primary voice and advocate for Women’s Ministry within staff conversations
- Coordinate with other ministries for shared events and strategic alignment
- Participate in regular staff, department, and team meetings
- Pursue ongoing personal and spiritual growth through learning and development opportunities
Requirements & Skills
- High school diploma required
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Open-minded to people in various life/faith stages
- Clear and effective communicator (verbal, written, and relational)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
- Collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented
- Comfortable leading in both relational and public-facing environments
- Able to receive feedback and navigate conflict in a healthy, productive way
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Schedule & Commitments
- 25 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling based on ministry needs, including evenings and weekends
- Lunch break provided for shifts over 5 hours
Evaluation
- Ongoing feedback and annual performance reviews
