Position Overview:

The Dietary Aide provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Dietary Aide, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.   • Assist in food preparation and serving meals to residents.

  • Ensure that all dietary restrictions are followed according to residents' needs.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.

  • Set up dining areas before meals and clean up after meals.

  • Support the dietary team in inventory management and ordering supplies.

  • Document and monitor food intake for residents as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with residents to determine their food preferences and comfort levels.

  • Assist in training new dietary staff members as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Dietary Aide/Kitchen Aide or Cook is a preferred

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospitality setting as a dietary aide/kitchen, or cook is a plus

  • Interest in working with the geriatric population

  • Food Handler Certification

  • Ability to prepare meals in accordance with specific dietary restrictions or special needs

  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday - Friday, AM Shift (6am-10am); PM Shift (3:30pm-7:30pm).
