Job DetailsJob Location: Catawba Mill - Catawba, SC 29704Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $29.95 - $42.79 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Skilled Labor - TradesWho We Need:Lubrication Mastercraft is a member of our Mechanical maintenance team with a specialty knowledge on lubrication-related assets. Master Craftsmen are responsible for repairing and maintaining plant equipment for a world-class pulp and paper manufacturing facility.  What You Will Do: Ability to maintain equipment through knowledge of lubrication requirements- contamination control, predictive sampling, inspection “best practices” and precision repairs to include laser shaft alignment, pulley alignment and tensioning, etc. Schedule, collect, and label samples with requisite details per agreed “best practices” as needed for analysis. Routine repairs to lubrication/hydraulic equipment- crane grapples, cylinders, hydraulic circuit controls such as directional or proportional valves, filtering, or centrifuge operation, etc.  Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities.​​​​ Knowledge of mechanical repairs/replacements on rotating equipment-pumps, gear reducers, agitators, conveyors, piping systems, valves, and piping systems (to include welding), etc. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   What You Will Need: At least 4 years’ experience or combination thereof:  (AS) Associates of Science in Industrial Technology and 2 years practical experience (mechanical) 4 years practical experience (mechanical) in Industrial setting Physical Demands of the Job: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must regularly climb up and down multiple levels of stairs. Employee is subject to working from ladders, scaffolds and roof to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. Employee has to physically perform demanding tasks such as working on knees, moving and lifting heavy objects (not to exceed 50 lbs.), and standing for extended periods of time on concrete or grating. Employee will maintain good safe work practices by evaluating job hazards and provide an adequate action plan by utilizing risk control measures to protect against the hazards Employee is required to mount and dismount equipment frequently during the course of a workday. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. What to Expect: The noise level in the work environment is loud. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
