Job DetailsJob Location: Cato Warehouse - Cato, NY 13033Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Category: ManufacturingFull-time position, Monday - Friday $18.00-$25.00 hourly Job purpose Assess, report and perform mechanical repair services to heavy duty equipment, balers, and other PMM equipment. In addition, material handler who operates machinery to move third party material, store press and mold into bales, sort and reload material per customer orders. Duties and responsibilities Maintenance Technician Repair malfunctioning equipment & electrical maintenance Front end loader, Forklift, Telehandler, Balers Install machinery systems Create inspection and repair schedules to ensure everything is in working order Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment Advise PMM Onsite Supervisor during new equipment purchases (parts) Understands and maintains accurate Inventory and Distribution of required Products, including cycle counts, physical inventories, barcoding, etc. 24/7 accessibility in the event of critical breakdown Act as on-call maintenance and handyman when needed Material Handler Control and operate equipment, forklift, skid steers, banding equipment, overhead cranes, balers, and front-end loaders, etc Manage material per Supervisors requests to include but not limited to baling, bricking, moving, transloading, sweeping, etc Operate scales and document material appropriately Monitor Operation: watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machinery is working properly Perform work as a team member Safety Regular Attendance & Punctuality Follow all safety protocols to include but not limited to required PPE to training as required and assigned Keep work area clean and free of debris Safety Sensitive Position Benefits: Meritain Aetna (offer 2 plans) Company Sponsored HRA card Dental Vision (offer 2 plans) Colonial Supplemental (accident, medical bridge, disability, cancer) Unum Life Insurance Pet Insurance / Pet Discount Program EAP- Employee Assistance Program 401K & Company 401K match PTO Paid Holidays  QualificationsQualifications •Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field •5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment repair •Experience with electrical and hydraulics maintenance required •Experience with technology maintenance equipment      •Strong critical thinking and creative skills •Detail oriented and organizational •Thorough working knowledge of facility equipment units, their usage, and safety procedures •Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently •Must have a flexible schedule •Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to companies drug free workplace policies Safety in the Workplace Employees should take reasonable care of their health and safety no matter where they are or what they are doing.
